Eric and Mike respond to the line Eric read from the book Of Stones and Strength. Steve Jeck talks about How the struggle can fill a man’s, heart. We added to that line of Steve’s to never stop chasing your dreams no matter what the circumstances are or what the people around you think. Build a stronger attitude and take the needed action along the way towards fulfilling your goals.

Always remember to help 100 people along the way with their goals. This leads us into Building Testosterone or manliness as I refer to it!We start off with one of the master hormones as men which are called testosterone. We talk about how were being uni dated with it through television, magazine articles, and supplement companies. Mike tells Eric that he believes adding more testosterone to your body when you’re already in a good range will not really bump you up that much more. If we decide to take a banned substance the chances are we will reach a much higher threshold for our strength and recovery.

This, of course, is the high end of the spectrum we look for when we want to exceed the perceived normal ranges. We talk about the role insulin plays in the body and why it has been called the master hormone of the body. It’s the master switch. When your insulin is high your burning more carbohydrates. When your insulin is low your burning more fats. Mike talks about how to eat before and after your weight training workout to truly get the healthy effects of it.When were truly Building Testosterone and were so committed now to get back to our old form we must address ourselves from a mental standpoint to.

It’s so important to pinpoint the reasons were where we are. Did we just get lazy, or make to many excuses or did we just forget about our health in general? These things must be dealt with hard to change who we are and where we are going at this point in our lives.Eric and Mike talk about how our food sources really affect our endocrine system and how to correct it. Mike makes a great point saying that so many trainees are worried about plastics and how harmful they can be to them. The interesting point is they relate to Mike that they are only sleeping four hours a night and living off the McDonalds diet.

Building Testosterone. We talk about a man’s right of passage. Just where did it go? Back in the early 1900’s you could walk into a bar and find big dumbells to lift. Men enjoyed their stout and some friendly competition to go along with it. The same way with many stone cultures. The test of a man was to lift big stones to truly be recognized as a man of strength. It gave the individual the bragging rights to say he was now part of the Brother Hood of the stone. It was very important to show and demonstrate your strength back in time. We talk about the two main strength training movements with barbells that pump your testosterone up and they are none other than the Squat and Deadlift.

Most of the studies have been conducted with the Squat. We both believe that either movement fully loaded and lifted by the trainee has a boosting effect on male testosterone. Mike talks about belly breathing and the effect it has on your body when you train with the dead stop squat. Mike really sheds a light on his use of belly breathing with his clients.
